3D Anomaly
Presentation boards juried into ITMA exhibition
{FTD 216 - Fall 2014}
A collection of jacquard woven prints were developed through research and speculation of a possible new material for 3D printing, combining ABS, PLS, and cotton starch. Two of the prints displayed current options for digital printing material, but at a microscopic level; however, the print shown above represents the new, conceptual material. The 3-way jacket style also further demonstrates the concept of versatility for the consumer if cotton were to be digitally printed in the future.
Photoshop, Lectra (Kaledo), and EAT software were used to create and weave the pattern.

The Belle of Amherst
{FTD 216 - Fall 2014}
Looking to Emily Dickinson for inspiration, this collection of knitted fabrics hints at aspects of her life and poetry. Noting her ability to make melodious poetry and her love of botany, hand drawn motifs were created to reflect the subtle, secluded nature of her lifestyle. To add dimension to the design and modernize the pattern, knitted palazzo pants were created, showcasing the bold colors of eggplant, piglet, blood orange, and blue gray.
Lectra (Kaeldo) Software and EAT facilitated in the creation of this design.

Kaleidoscope
{FTD 105 - Spring 2014}
The concept for this kitchen textile collection came from the modern, southern, economical woman. As a group, we collectively created prints in varying scales that could cohesively be bought together or mixed and matched separately. Using a personal photo taken in Salt Lake City, Utah, we used Photoshop to create the kaleidoscope effect and choose a tonally pleasing color palette.
Digitally printed 100% Cotton Sateen paired with pink, ribbed, cotton-polyester blend.
